This blanket is a Navajo inspired serape blanket derived from from the mid 19th century. Traditional serapes are worn like a shawl or cloak. Its alteration into a poncho-like clothing item is more recent. The serape or sarape is a long blanket-like shawl, often brightly colored and fringed at the ends. Sol Baja Blanket is a beautifully colored in neutral brown colors with variations of blank lines and patterns.
