One of the hottest hair color trends for the new year: Glow in the dark hair color!
Vivid and pastel hair was one of the biggest trends last year seeing more color on the conservative side of America with popular trends like hidden rainbow hair and trendy undercuts. I feel like colored hair is becoming more acceptable and I think it's about time!
Kenra Professional hair color changed the hair game completely with their neon glow in the dark hair color line. By day these colors are beautiful, extremely pigmented neon colors and the longevity compared to other color lines is amazing. By night they are even more beautiful, with just a switch of light and under a black light these colors glow vibrantly , and the best part is the hair glows completely on their own!
For the look I created on the left I utilized every color from their neon line while intermixing a couple shades to create custom hues. I used a freestyle technique and placed the color where I thought looked best. I also gave her an undercut with a dripping/melting affect.
Sometimes other color lines require a gel, or some sort of product to really make it glow it these just do it with your natural hair. To get these colors the hair has to be completely lightened to a pale blonde for the colors to grab how their supposed to and really glow. If the hair isn't light enough the color wont penetrate your hair correctly which can result in the color not looking correctly, I would definitely consult with your stylist to see if this is something right for you!
